Szarlotka z beza- Apple-pie with meringue

The other day, waiting for my friend’s visit, I made this apple-cake. My friend had to cancel our meeting and I was left with two trays of this delicious apple-cake. Since everyone at work loved it, I decided to share recipe with you.

Ostatnio, czekajac na przyjaciela, upieklam ten oto jablecznik z beza. Nasz przyjaciel niestety musial odwolac spotkanie a my zostalismy z dwiema foremkami pysznego ciasta. Wszyscy w pracy sie nim zachwycali wiec postanowilam podzielic sie z wami przepisem.

Crisp base:    

750g flour

500g butter

250g icing sugar

5 egg-yolks

Vanilla cream:

2 vanilla puddings

Apple layer:

1kg apples

200g sugar

Meringue:

5 egg whites

200g sugar

To make a base, we put together all ingredients and make a dough. Spread it all over baking-tray and bake in 190°C.  Prepare puddings according to directions on packaging, cool down and put on top of the baked base. Peeled and roughly chopped apples fry in a pan with sugar until soft. Put on top of pudding. Egg whites whisk until stiff, add sugar and whisk untill smooth. Spread on top of the cake and bake in 180°C untill it gets lightly golden.

Kruche ciasto:

750g maki

500g masla

250g cukru

5 zoltek

cukier waniliowy

Krem waniliowy:

dwa opakowania budyniu

Warstwa jablkowa:

1kg jablek

200g cukru

Beza:

5 bialek

200g cukru

Zagniesc kruche ciasto. Wylozyc nim blache i upiec w 190°C. Na ciasto wylozyc ostudzony budyn waniliowy przygotowany wg instrukcji na opakowaniu. Na budyniu ulozyc uprazone z cukrem, obrane kawalki jablek. Calosc pokryc ubitymi na sztywno bialkami z cukrem i zapiec w temp 180°C.
